Spring update for March 2024

Hope you are all enjoying a well-deserved Spring break, end of the year and summer holidays in view already. Here are a few of the improvements, the team has been working on over the past few weeks. Big update coming soon with our new Ontario module, and a rework of quick reports to include more options, report wizards, and access to more data sets. Publish transcripts directly to the grade report menu header

If you are using MySchool transcripts, you are now able to publish directly to the My Grade report menu header on both student and guardian portals. Users can download the copy from their portals. No need for extra paper costs or admin tasks. Talk to your CSM if you would like to enable this functionality.

Students can view corrected quizzes

Signed up for the new LMS module? If you are interested in using quizzes to enhance your in-class courses, then ask your CSM for more details. Students can now review the corrected quizzes via this module.

Updated BC module

In line with requests from BC, users can now populate TRAX results with continuous assessment values. It will also accept non-numerical entries.

The CRS file will no longer check for citizen codes as per ministry instructions.

Review shows withdrawn courses in orange

If a student is withdrawn from a course during the assessment term, the courses will show as orange in the review drop-down. Use the setting in assessment reports to determine if you wish to publish these withdrawn courses or not. You will find it in the course grade section type. Use the cog to open the configuration and set report template to show withdrawn courses for students.

Minor updates, fixes and task list;

• System - A pop-up will warn users who are about to delete multiple entries on the assess grid. Confirmation of action will be required.
• System - Added 3 different Persian languages to language tables. 
• System - Improved text for error pop-up which blocks users from being deleted if finance data is present. 
• System - Updated assess grid to accommodate long assessment labels with no formatting issues.
• System - Added the possibility to add [[school_name]] to the mass communication option in the programme builder.
• System - Added job title to mass edit for user data.
• System - Updated form builder field labels to be consistent with the entered values.
• System - Improved the performance of publishing grade reports in bulk.
• System - Improved UI for course resources which was not aligning items correctly in My Courses dashlet.
• System -Adjusted layout of grade report printout to allow for multiple class Teachers.
• System - Redesigned LO bulk update feature on subject specifications to allow for pagination to avoid OOM errors.
• System - When creating an event in the events module, certain users were experiencing delays in saving. The tasks were reworked and performance improved.
• System - Updated student continuous assessment page to list learning outcomes in alphabetical order within their folders. 
• System - The first row in the attendance report was not correctly showing a pop-up for the attendance taker icon. The issue was fixed.
• System - Resolved an issue where educators who were exempted from meetings were still being scheduled. Now Teachers who are excluded cannot be booked either by admins or guardians.
• System - Resolved an issue with quizzes due to a previous fix. Quizzes can now be submitted correctly.
• System - Improved the layout for printing multiple timetables PDFs. 
• System - Added joining date, enrolled programmes (BC), gender, last names, and primary language to the student mass edit options.
• System - Improved quick reports data for staff users as incorrect end dates were being pulled to the export.
• System - improved layout for compact grade reports that cover multiple pages. 
• System - Bus route management will only show active students within the current year.
• System - Admissions management list format was improved to allow for truncated data labels.
• System - Changed pop-up in new finance to warn users that a credit note was being created for 0 value.
• System - When exporting behavioural events, the preselected filters were being ignored. The export will now respect the preset filters.
• System - Added the possibility to export Teacher attendance data to Excel.
• System - Added the possibility to delete ghost room bookings from the room timetable view.
• System - Corrected error in HTML for IEP mouseover information in grade grid.
• Project (MT) - Fixed an issue with programme builder modules not respecting room booking clashes.

• School (MT) - Updated details for custom report DQSE.
• School (NA) - Added information for donor campaign.

• Project (MT) - Added custom communication to o365 to the communications log.
• School (NA) - Updated legacy custom transcript behaviour.

• Project (MT) - Changed attendance behaviour for instances where a student is present in two schools.
• School (NA) - Restored LO data that had been wrongly copied.
• Project (MT) - Fixed an issue with the custom class enrolment tool allowing duplicate class enrolments.
• School (EU) - Problem resolved for Google synchronisation error.
• School (NA) - Issue resolved with a historic transcript.
• Project (EU) -  Fixed issue where the custom legacy contribute page had to respect set term names
• School (MT) - Custom import for finance import was not working as expected. The issue was resolved.
• School (NA) - Encountered issues with legacy payment gateway in admissions.
• Project (MT) - Resolved an issue with the custom student menu header showing incorrect assessment details.
• School (NA) - The issue was resolved when students were populating attendance updates from a different school level.
• School (NA) - Fixed a system error for student information sections included in questionnaires.
•  Project (MT) - Improved behaviour for custom CDR module.
• School (NA) - Fixed an issue with HTML tags not rendering correctly on the My Courses student list view.
• School (NA) - Fixed an issue that had been caused by changes being made on the custom legacy report card.
• School (NA) - Improved custom transcript layout to stop text bleeding when long labels are used.
• School (NA) - Custom upload for guardian custom field was redesigned to work with internal import tools.
• Project (MT)- Continued work on custom transcript requests for post-secondary schools.
• Project (EU) - Found an issue with student attendance data which was fixed across the system due to changes in other projects.
• School (MT) - Restored deleted room data.
• School (MT) - Added student qualities for DQSE.
• School (BC) - reworked logo for transcript PDF.
• School (BC) - Imporved PSR layout for long titles to show correctly.
• Project (EU) - Restored deleted assessment data from 22/23.
• Project (EU) - Resolved an error where periods were not showing correctly on the staff user teaching tab.
• School (NA) - Fixed attendance data which was showing incorrectly for previous year.
