Our new reporting tool Quick Reports v2 is the central data reporting tool for the future of MySchool data exporting. We continue to build and integrate all data sources into one tool to make life as easy as possible. It is still based on applying a filter to a data set, then choosing the export fields needed.
Create saved report parameters for quick and easy access.
What data can we export?
We will continue to add more data sets to the tool, quick reports will begin with the following data sets;
Student | Published Assessments | Invoice Payers |
Invoices | Accounts | Courses |
Classes | Class Enrolments | Course Enrolments |
Staff & Parents | Relationships | Payments |
Credit notes | Accounts |
How to filter the report
When you create reports, you have the option to save them, these reports are shown in the list view, and you just need to download or click on their name to edit and add more parameters if needed.
Open the Create new report filter page. In the example below we will select student data.
You select the data source from the drop-down options. Each data source has its own filters. It allows you to refine your report.
There are two automatic filters on students, one for academic year and school. The school filter is only used in a multischool system.
Select the student filter to add a people picker to the filter list. We selected the secondary school level in the example.
Go to the Next page, the export part, and determine what you would like to extract from student data for the 23/24 cohort.
Open the folders and select a data point to add to your view. A load button will appear each time you have changed the export parameters. The view panel listing the report details is limited to 20 records. It is a preview of how the data will be exported.
You can save the report format for future use or download an Excel directly. Quick and easy!
Reorder the columns
You can drag and drop the order of the columns in the preview panel. Left mouse and drag the column to the required spot.
Security settings
Quick reports will check your user group settings so that you will only be granted access to data to which you have rights to view. The report itself is attached to Quick Reports v2/View reports and Create/export reports. If the user does not have access to finance data for example, then they will not be given viewing rights to Invoice payers, Accounts, and Invoices. If the user only has access to a certain school level, like a primary school level admin, this user will only be able to access data within their security parameters.
