As administrators, it is useful to be able to assess user access. System access reports provide insight into user access to your MySchool platform. Reports can be exported for the whole school's user population if needed.
It can be used to check if guardians have logged in to the system, or if a student had an issue and couldn't submit that vital homework. It is also a useful tool if lessons are made available online.
How to access
In the Data Reports module header, users who have permission to view restricted reports will see System Access in the list of available reports.
Use the people picker to target a set population and add a date. Don't forget to select the day from the calendar pop-up. You can use the preset ranges for a quick solution.
Choose either Fetch or Print the results to PDF. It will show their User names, User status, Last Login, and Access Count during the period.
Click on the name to go to the profile. The status will be either Active, Disabled, or Archived. if users cannot log into the system then their status may have been set to Disabled. It is a way to troubleshoot connection problems.
The report also shows the last login and the number of times they have logged during the selected period. Click on the count to see the dates and times.
In case of security concerns with an account, the best practice would be to check access dates, and then disable the account from the security tab within the user profile. You can also see more details in the security tab of the user. It will provide IP and system information as well.
Contact our support team if you have concerns from your users, or wish to investigate possible security issues with your MySchool instance.
