The LMS module provides Teachers with an easy-to-use platform in order to manage virtual learning. This can also be integrated with other third-party LTI software. Within MySchool, Teachers and Educators can create lesson plans, and assignments, and open a chat forum with their course students.
We advise school administrators to liaise directly with the technical teams of the various LTI software providers. If you have IT support available within your school then they can assist in the integration and technical set-up.
Who do we integrate with?
Although the list is not exhaustive, we can look into integrating with SAML-compliant third-party software. However, schools must note that costs from third-party software are not included in MySchool fees. Please confirm the costs with them before asking for integration.
Panopto
Panopto offer online video conferencing for lessons, and video libraries for Educators to be able to upload prerecorded content. They offer a trial and demo version to test, but it has a limited time span and limited usage. For full API integration with other software, you will be required to upgrade to the payable version. We would require the Endpoint, Key and secret code from them to be able to add this to your school's LMS configuration.
Zoom
A video conferencing provider which can be used for live lesson streaming from Teachers to their students. We are not able to integrate with the free account offered via their services. In order to integrate with other software they would require payment.
Check out their offers and services on their website. We would need the Endpoint, key, and secret code to integrate your account with your MySchool VLE resource module.
Blackboard collaborate
Offers web conferencing, chat and video lesson libraries. Please contact their services to obtain prices and conditions.
We would need the endpoint, key, and secret code from their services in order to implement the solution on MySchool.
Turnitin
Using LTI integration from the LMS module, schools can integrate their Turnitin access with MySchool. This keeps the students on one platform, but still able to use other software.
What can Myschool offer?
We are available to discuss your needs, using all the tools available on Myschool. With assignment submissions and chat forums, students can already link in with teachers and peers to create a virtual learning environment. Videos can be uploaded to Youtube® and shared within the course resource module to act as guides for guardians to recreate their own classroom environment within their homes.
Use the assignment load planner to coordinate set coursework for your students. It is important to understand that students may be discouraged and unable to schedule the same way whilst working at home. If they are given too many tasks at once, they may not be able to plan this themselves.
For younger students, you may not have activated their accounts on MySchool, we can copy the main guardian or invoice payer email into their dependant students' secondary email field. This way activation emails and announcements can be received by the guardians, who can work with their children to explore your Myschool student portal. use assignments as home lesson guides to empower guardians to hold core lessons with their children within their home environment.
If you wish to still schedule lessons and take attendance within your courses, then we can enable this feature for your schools. We appreciate that at the moment, many are unable to stick with the planned schedules set up in your courses.
Synchronise with MySchool
For further synchronisation options, then have a look at sync centre which allows MySchool to integrate via API. This article explains the options available.
