We have updated our grade grid to to allow users to select a classic assignment view, or to group assignments per learning outcome. We also changed the terms to show in a drop down list to make this easier to navigate. These will not affect already created assignments, and work in connection with VLE topics.
These changes are connected to a new continuous assessment module, due for release in the coming days. This will allow schools following this model to apply a grade to a Learning outcome based on evidence over the term. A numeric outcome will be generated.
Learning outcomes still need to be attached to the subject using subject specifications and applied to the assignment as usual in the Option tab when creating an assignment.
If you wish to discuss new ways of using learning outcomes as evidences, and start to use a non numerical grading system, then contact our support team to arrange an introductory call.
Achievement scale configuration
We have also added an upper and lower value to achievement scales. Previously, schools were required to enter a lower value if they used a selected grade in subject specifications.
This change will only affect newly create scales.
Continuous assessment
With these changes, we also released a new way to assess students using learning learning outcomes and achievement scales. This based on a continuous assessment model.
