We hope that you have managed to get some rest during the summer break, and we here at MySchool have been working on great new improvements to the application. Please do keep submitting your ideas to our ideas board as it really helps our teams design features which reply to your daily needs.
MySchool assessment report
As we promised, we are constantly adding new features to our great report card builder. This tool allows schools to really customise their report cards for their students and guardians.
Changing the footer
Schools now can decide whether to include the footer or not depending on their needs. Please note that only the cover page will contain address and contact details and publishing date. The footer for the subsequent pages shows page count/student name and the name of the instance.
Adding course label names
We have included some more labels to the course grade content type. You can now choose how each subject or course is labelled in their relevant section.
Don't forget you can group assessments within a subject to in subject specifications using the assessment section grouping within each assessment type.
School name or not?
Schools can now choose to include their name on the cover page or not. This idea was brought forward as some school logos already have their names in the Jpeg, so a label is not needed.
Attendance choices were simplified
For school who wanted to include a global attendance count for their students, we have modified the pick lists to be simpler. You can now choose between the duration of the attendance by selecting an appropriate type (year or term etc). Also choose what you would like to show in the config dropdown from absents/lates or both.
Enquiry update
For schools who are using the enquiry module which is the new addition to the admission toolbox, it is now possible to upgrade the enquiry and change it into an applicant so they can continue to apply on your chosen work flow. More details will be added to the enquiry article, which will guide you on the simple steps and communication templates used. It will also check the enquirers email to make sure they are not an existing user.
Mass edit
The mass edit tool is a great way for administrators or super users to update certain fields in staff/guardian and user profiles from one screen. We have added the possibility that all custom fields are available, and provide some on screen tips to remind users that you can't update more than 5 fields per row, and that you cannot mix student and guardian profiles together.
Various updates
Here is a list of some other updates we have introduced this week;
- Fixed the problem with consents getting stuck in a validation loop for network school (EUR)
- Checked import tool to ensure all fields were importing.
- Custom class level was reconfigured for external API
- Investigation into network school profiles. Resolved.
