Attendance is a core module in MySchool, used widely by all of the client community. The module is flexible and allows users to enter attendance statuses in the present, past and future. We have now implemented a new tool that allows administrators to amend attendance for students who have no enrolment date corresponding to the attendance status.
To add this tool to your system, please raise a request with your CSM via our support channel.
How does it work?
So in a few cases, a student may withdraw from a course or not start on the first day of term but still have enrolment dates covering the whole year. The Educators taking attendance would be right to enter an attendance status, normally absent without justification, against this student. However, this can adversely affect their attendance statistics, and in certain cases affect school funding or student grant payment reports.
Who can access the tool?
The tool will be included in Attendance/Advanced options. it will be assigned to the role administer attendance. This is assigned to super users and administrator user groups by default. It is the same as administrative update access.
Simple yet powerful
The audit is run from a class level and will check enrolment dates, against attendance statuses. if the student is withdrawn and attendance is found outside of those dates, it will give the administrator the option to delete these statuses.
It will also check to see if a course enrolment has been deleted, rather than withdrawn and flag these statuses.
