We have worked with focus groups across our international community to produce a totally customisable IEP (Individual education plan) module for MySchool. Create accommodations, strategies, diagnoses, and designations. Easy to build student profile details with easily configured fields and sections. Build a comprehensive diagnosis list based on your national or local requirements.
Your school can list their provisions and apply a frequency to them. List your objectives, add resources, and give details on the expected outcome. All are easy to build using folders and content items.
What's available in the new module?
In the first phase, users are able to create their own IEP structure, with the IEP configuration panel. This configuration panel will be located in the Mentoring/IEP module or menu header to the left of the dashboard.
The configuration panel will show four headers which in turn allow schools to build the different elements available on the IEP creation page. Parameters, Student profile, Provisions, and Objectives. Let's start with the Parameters tab;
On the Parameters tab, you can build Accommodations and Strategies. Diagnoses and Designations. These are to be created for all the parameters available in your school's IEP reporting.
On the Student profile field, you can create topic folders and create content criteria to be able to set individual goals for the students following an IEP.
Provisions can be created for physical resources or provision planning which can be used to assist the student in their everyday education.
Objectives allow for multiple Topic folders with their own content. This can help build detailed objectives which can be followed on an individual student basis with success criteria and supporting documents.
Create the Individual plan
Each part of your configuration settings are applied to individual IEPS. These settings will populate the different fields available in the individual IEPs. Students can have multiple IEPs running during the scholastic year.
The creation panel again is split into 4 different tabs, each showing various elements allowing Case managers and Team managers to monitor the progress of the students. Guardians will be able to view the report when published.
Please note the IEP report template is not available in the first phase of release, and we will keep you updated via our product release section when available.
The Fundamentals tab gives a general overview showing diagnosis and designations built into the configuration Parameters.
The Collaboration tab is designed to add case managers (LSE's/Mentors), Team managers, and consulted guardians to the student's IEP. You can organise meetings and record notes also in this tab.
The Student profile tab will show the strengths and needs set out in the configuration panel. Each topic and content is shown as an open text box in the student profile tab of the individual IEP.
The Accommodations tab is used to give general and course-specific instructions using t provisions settings created. Apply them generally or on a course basis. Determine whether it is a push-in or pull-out scenario and determine a learning strategy from the list created in the parameters tab of the configuration panel.
Establish a detailed plan for the student with curricular or holistic goals using the objectives created in the configuration panel. Set these up for in-school or external home support with objectives and detailed instructions.

Release note Phase 1
The module is to be released in stages, in Phase 1, users will be able to create the IEPs as explained above. In the following phases, we plan to introduce a customisable template for publishing, and an assessment-based system, much like the academic system already in place.
