The fundamentals page will show general details relating to the student and their diagnosis. Case managers can add general notes and attach external documents.
Adding the student
Choose the student from the list of active students within the academic year. Once the IEP is created these fields can no longer be edited. Add a target date using the calendar for a proposed review date for the IEP. Students can have multiple IEPs running with different review dates. The status field will either show Draft or Published, and the respective publication date.
In the bottom corner of the individual IEP page, open the arrow to show Save (as draft) if you do not wish to publish the IEP.
Creating the diagnosis and designation
Start by configuring the settings and options. The IEP configuration panel will be available for users who have the role 'Manage IEP'. It will be available in the IEP/mentoring module under advanced options.
Click on Add to start building the diagnoses first, a slide-over appears with the full title and shortcode.
Please note the shortcode is limited to three characters. This will be used in certain reports.
The same for the designations, which may be applied for funding or from your local education authority.
Once you have built the options, you can add them to students' IEPs in the fundamental tab when creating a new IEP.
Opening a new IEP
Go to the IEP module and open the list view. This can be filtered using the filter settings to the right.
Then create a new IEP. IEPs can be saved as drafts whilst your case managers fill out the details before publishing.
On the fundamentals tab, you can now add the diagnosis and designation. Choose from your premade list, and add them to the student. Users can add several to the list as appropriate. If further details are needed then there is a free text field to the right for this purpose. To remove a diagnosis/designation from the list then use the X in the drop-down field. Once selected they will appear in italics in the list.
You can also add further details in the comment box, and attach files to the IEPs. Note that attachments are restricted to 10Mb when attached to an IEP. These files will not appear in the student's profile and restricted to users with access to the IEP module.
