Module management and System access

Module management is the central control panel for super users to manage their MySchool modules. It also helps us align with our new package offerings, as the support team can activate and deactivate package offers in line with the contracts.

Need to upgrade and want to start using admissions? Contact your CSM via support and they will be able to give a quote for adding the package. Once all is confirmed your CSM will activate the functionality and, you can start using it straight away.

Can we de/activate modules ourselves?

This will remain a tool for the MySchool team only, but with a simple request, our support team will be able to work with you to design the best user interface for your community, with access to all the tools they need.

We have noticed more permissions appearing in the user groups, why is that?

We understand that user group security is complex and overwhelming. We always advise you to reach out to your CSM if you wish to change any security settings in user groups. This way the support team can offer advice and point out limitations, and if it is a good idea, then our product team will pick it up from the ideas board. The changes will continue as part of a security rework. We aim to simplify access (Yep, adding more does simplify things in the long run!). With module management, we hope to have control over all pages and functionality allowing for conformity in updating functionality across systems and improving the customisation possibilities for the users.

Why was the merge tool removed?

The merge tool is super powerful, but not as intelligent as we would like it to be. This feature was transferred to internal use only. We hope to improve and make it more intelligent. In any case, if you have duplicate users, please contact our support team and they can merge them for you.

Why can't we have access to all system functionality?

As with all systems, some areas still need to be maintained by our team. We are more than happy to discuss title changes, icon fixes and reordering of elements. We can even change the naming convention on your profile tabs if you wish. We have limitations and with the security project and module management, we hope to make them more user-friendly in the future.
