Having problems logging into the MySchool App? Can't find the school code? No data being shown? Here are a few hints and tips to help troubleshoot.
The app is asking for a school code. What is it?
The school code is the first part of your school's MySchool portal URL. So in the case of myschooldemo.msm.io, the school code would be myschooldemo. In the case of myschooltraining.msm.io, the school code would be myschooltraining. You can access this information by opening your account details when logged in via a browser. Click on the head icon and open your profile page.

What are my login credentials?
They are the same as your access to the parent/student portal. Your primary email and the same password you use for the portal.
If your school has an SSO/SAML (e,g. Google, Windows, EID, or Finalsite), you use the same credentials as you normally use when accessing MySchool via a browser.
I have downloaded the app and followed the login instructions, but still can't access anything.
The app is an add-on that the school needs to sign up for and enable for students and main guardians. Check with the school to confirm whether they have enabled this. For guardians, you must be classed as a main guardian with access rights to view your dependent student. For students, you must be enrolled in an active class for the scholastic year.
I have no data showing when I log in
Is it the same on the student/guardian portal when you log in normally? If yes, then there may be a problem with your profile. Please contact the school to check your account configuration. If you can see information on the browser, but not the app, please ask the school to contact our technical team for further investigation.
The data I see when I log in to MySchool is different to the app
There can be a slight delay in updating from the server to the app. If it hasn't updated after an hour, please contact the school to raise the issue.
Why can't staff members access the app?
For the moment, only active guardians and students can access the app. We will continue to add new features to these two groups first.
Why can't I see the same things that I see in my student/guardian portal?
The app is a lighter version of the portal; some functionality will not be available. (Downloading reports, My files, etc.). We will be working on adding payment and downloading grade reports in the next version.
Can I change my password for the app?
Your browser and app passwords are the same, so if you reset your password from the app login screen, your browser password will be updated as well.
I received an email, but I can't see the communication in my inbox
The app inbox will only show announcements that have been posted to the app.
How can I configure notifications?
