Due to a recent security announcement, your MySchool application will no longer be supported on browsers and systems using TLS v1.0 & 1.1. This is in line with international guidelines as explained in the Microsoft release article.
Here is a list of client applications that will be affected;
- Android 4.3 and earlier versions
- Firefox version 5.0 and earlier versions
- Internet Explorer 8-10 on Windows 7 and earlier versions
- Internet Explorer 10 on Windows Phone 8.0
- Safari 6.0.4/OS X 10.8.4 and earlier versions
What does this mean for our users?
Users who are using older devices and desktops may be affected. If in the case that users are using any of the above browsers, they should be updated to the latest version to ensure continued access to their MySchool platform.
How do I know which version my browser is using?
If you are using a school centrally managed computer then your IT team will be able to help. If you are using a personal device then you can check using this free service.
How do I update my browser?
Each browser is different and should be set to automatically update whenever new versions become available from the provider. This will avoid access issues whilst using older devices.
We always recommend using the latest version to make sure you are getting the most from your MySchool instance.
