Open an inquiry page for potential applicants to submit general questions without having to complete a workflow, nor create a profile. Once their initial questions have been answered you can transition both to an active flow so they can complete your normal application process.
Design the landing page
The inquiry landing page is a light form where your prospective guardians can send you a question via an online form. By default, the inquiry page will need to be placed as link or a button on your own website or social media channels.
Go to the configuration panel for admissions and open inquiry configuration. The URL is located in the top left corner. It will be the name of your instance, with /inquriy. The additional instructions field is the comment box header.
The inquirer can fill out the details, but no profiles are created. You can interact with the submitter by sending emails externally to MySchool. All contacts can be recorded in the inquiry channel of your prospect and applicants list view.
Once your admissions team have answered all the questions, you can easily transfer the request to one of your active workflows.
Upgrade the inquiry
Open the student from the inquiry tab, and select upgrade. A slide over will appear. If the submitter and student have a unique email and has no profile created on your platform, you can create both profiles from here. If the enquirer is a guardian and has profile, you can attach the new student to their existing profile by clicking on the Existing option.
The inquiry will remain in the list and you can close the status. After creating the profiles, you will note that the system has detected the user with an existing user.
The student is now visible on the applicants tab of your admission list view. The guardian will be able to submit the form opened on your first step.
