FAQ - Why is the Assess grid grey?

If your Educators cannot use the asses grid as it is grey, this may be due to review, published or access block. Here is how to resolve the issue.

Review blocks the assessment grid

If someone has reviewed the grade report, educators can no longer add contributions to the assess grid. The status is set to review.

Go to the review page and select the term and student,. Use save as draft to reset this.

There is no mass un review and this must done individually.

If a grade report has been published this will also stop contributions on the asses grid. You can unpublish in bulk from the access/publish page. If you just need to unpublish a single student then, this is an option on the review page.

Resetting this to not being reviewed will reopen the assess grid.

Check your access dates

If you have placed an assessment lock on the publish/Access page this will also block access to the assess grid. 

Remove the dates or amend the end date to reopen the grid for contributions.
