When building your application forms in MySchool it is important to understand the role of the submitter and other guardians. Use text boxes to help users understand how this is shown in the application form.
The submitter
This is the guardian who starts the process. Only one guardian can be a submitter and this cannot be transferred to another user once the flow has been activated. The submitter's details are collected once they create the account. We already have their email and name fields. |
The dependant student
The next mandatory step is to attach a student. This will create a relationship and the submitter now becomes a guardian.
Guardian details on the form
When building your application form, all guardian details must be on a separate tab from the other fields such as student information.
All elements of this page are duplicated when Add guardian is selected.
Ask them not to change the ordering of the guardians already entered (if they are an existing parent for example).
NB: In preview mode of form builder, there is no add guardian box.
