FAQ - Calculated scale does not show data on Assess or Review

 When building assessments in Subject specifications, it is always good practice to check the advanced options cog icon    and then save, even if you have made no changes.

In certain cases, this is mandatory as the system needs you to validate the information before calculating. 

Under Grade Report > Advanced Options > Subject specifications 

1. I had previously added a Grade section type called "Term 1 Percentage"
2. I have a Calculated scale section type called "Term 1 Letter Grade"
3. When I go to Grade Report > Assess, the Calculate scale field is not populated

Check the following points

1. Does the term show in the applicable term field? make sure it is the correct assessment term you are trying to contribute.

2. Is the based scale field within the current assessment build? Is it populated with a valid numeric value?

3. Go to assignment configuration and check that the selected scale has points and high and low options populated.

The last checkpoint would be to refresh the grid after entering a numeric value. It is not always immediate and can require a page refresh to calculate.
